Ecological Surveys Hampshire

Why consider Ecological Surveys Hampshire?

Firstly, we are an old fashioned company, we believe in providing a high level of service to all of our clients, not just the big ones, which incidentally includes County and District Councils as well as many national house builders including Kier, Interserve, Linden Homes, Bovis Homes, Gleeds and many others.

Secondly, we are approachable and more than happy to discuss your requirements, or concerns by telephone rather than just via email.

Thirdly, we offer a comprehensive range of services and can deal inhouse with the overwhelming majority of ecological (and tree survey) requirements.

Finally, we have staff based in Southampton and Andover so can cover all of the districts within Hampshire

Whether large Residential / Commercial Developments, Wind Farms, Solar Farms, Pipelines, Barn Conversions or small Householder Projects, we can provide for all of your Ecological Survey needs.

During 2020 we worked on several large development sites, including a 470 unit site and a 40 acre Commercial development site. Currently in 2021- 2022 we are working on a very large 740 unit site, together with multiple high profile schemes. This is in addition to numerous small (<10 Unit) sites and of course normal residential redevelopment / home improvement projects. In short we almost certainly have the capacity and expertise to assist you with whatever project you are working on.

Bat Surveys

There are a whole host of reasons that a local authority might request a bat survey.

Invariably, barn conversions and alterations to an existing roof structure no matter how minor, will often trigger a requirement for a bat survey. Initially, this is often for a ‘scoping survey’ to consider whether more complete surveys are actually required. Often this initial survey is all that is required. Other times this is simply a precursor to Emergence Surveys. Please call to discuss your personal requirements.

Ecological Surveys Ltd, offer Tree Surveys for Development Compliant to British Standard BS5837 – 2012.

If undertaken at the same time as an Ecological Appraisal this is not only more cost effective, but is often more ‘joined up’ too and can avoid conflicts between the Ecological and Aboricultural aspects of a Planning Proposal.
